Guest
It should not be a problem to splice your power wire from the fog lights into the power wire running to your main headlight. Run a ground wire from the fog lights to a good ground connection on the frame and you will be good to go.Paul[email protected]
smontanye
i hooked up the lights and they would barly light up, does this mean my sled doesnt give out enough power?
Guest
How many lights? What gauge wire? Do you have a good ground? There can be many causes other that your sled not putting out enough power.Paul
Dave
smontanye, you said you have no battery. Are your fog lights dim at idle or higher rpm? At idle, I would expect them to be dim; and brighten as the rpm is higher.
jkrash
I think you will have a problem because a snowmobiles out put voltage can vary, anywhere from 9 volts (at idle) to 25+ volts at wide open, and this will vary from sled to sled and year to year. One way you can make them work is to get a variable output transformer; and attach it to a accessory wire then to the lights.Good luck Good luck
Guest
Also, Just thought of something. How did you wire it? Depending on the fog lights you may not need the ground, they may ground themselves.Paul
