mnguy152
What would be a good choice of a scope for deer hunting?

fr0sty
I have been happy with the nikon prostaff on my .
TrollnDrift
For 300 yards you will probly want to go up to 12 power maybe more depends on what you are comfortable with, however in the woods make sure it goes low enough to see at close range. I shoot a Monarch 4-16 on my .300 Wby Mag with anticipated range up to 500 yards if I ever do make it out west for mule deer. The monarch series has performed very well for me so far.I shoot a 3-9 on my .270 for northern minnesota deer.
fishuhalik
How much do you wanna spend and what are you looking to get out of it? Do you want a tack driver with awesome low light vision or do you want something that'll be good enough to consistently make an 8" group up to 300yds (kill zone shot size) and might have subpar light amplification but is more affordable?
