Spinner on a Slow death rig

Recommended Posts

I use a bead in front of the hook and it doesn't seem to reduce the amount of "slow death" action on the hook. I have not added any other hardware but from what I've read it is not advised as it dampens the death roll.

Yes, there are lots of people that experiment with small prop style blades and beads with their SD presentations. Sometimes they work better and sometimes they don't. You will have to do your experimentation and see if that is what your fish want, but yes, it can work great.

I was doing well with a SD rig with just a white bead this past week on 2 different lakes and then added a chart or silver blade and both times the bite slowed so yes, the blades can slow a pick up a bite. It seems I have always had better luck with the white bead and no blade.

I then tried a chart blade on a crawler harness and that was better than the SD rig with just a bead.

I guess it all depends on the day and thier mood.
