Looks like a few guy's hit the 200 mile mark in pratice.

How is NASCAR going to deal with this?

They hit 218MPH on the straightaway yesterday!

By doing nothing....... read somewhere that they feel some rubber build up and the heat will slow the cars down

Biffle just had an average lap speed of 203.7 mph in qualifying trim.

He just topped that with a 204.7!

If NASCAR feels this is to fast, they could use plates in the future but the track will slow down in time. Every race there in the future will slick the track and slow the cars down.

Based on qualifying today the track already has started to slow down a little.

Tires were blistering in practice so Goodyear brought in some old tires with a different compound to use on the left side. A special practice is going to be held later this afternoon so the teams can get a feel for the different tires. I bet the engine guys aren't real happy about that.

Throw in the chance of rain tomorrow to wash the track and it really ends up being a complete crapshoot.
