Scoot,
Watch for a 2 year old Tracker Targa 17 from Indiana. My neighbor Todd, is leaving friday for a week. He's in the Sabby, Crow Lake area. He'll be hoping for some big musky action too. At times he and the weaker anglers will be fishing for their lunch but keep an eye out for him. Tell him Steve (Dawg) said "Hi". Good luck and be careful. I'll be on Vermilion in a week and a half. CAN'T WAIT!!!

I have a co-worker who is just starting on the muskie addiction and is going to LOW this weekend. I told him I would ask the nice people at FM to share some info that may help him. I have never been up that way so I had no advice for him but I am hoping that some of you could share some lure ideas, new reports, or good spots to try this time of year on LOW. If it sounds promising I may head there myself. Thanks everyone~Squeedunk

Good Luck! Hope you stick a pig! Or 2

I still have not made a serious Muskie trip this year, and now I am going to Vermilion and fishing Sunnies this weekend. Getting closer!

Later this summer and into the fall, I will be on a Muskie Mission!

Hope you have a great trip!

Steve

Good luck Scoot,
I am going up to Sioux Narrows next week , I'll be leaving on the 23rd for a 8 days and I'll also be chucking for muskies, smallies, and a little walleye fishing so I'm looking forward to you post and all the gory details. I hope I do not refer to them as "Chucking Muskies" if you know what I mean!

If it's not too far away I suggest Burrow Bay and Obabikon Lake. Our group boated a 41" and a 50" and saw a few others.

With the warm weather of late the fish should be turning on!

Topwater and jerkbaits got the most attention.

We're back. We had a great trip! We split time between walleyes, bass, and sklunges. Smallie fishing was ok, couldn't find any biggies, but found enough to keep us satisfied. Walleye fishing was great. The most serious walleye guy on the trip kept track of the number of walleyes on the trip he put in his boat and it was somewhere over 200 with the biggest being 26.5. Muskie fishing was really good. We saw five fish on Friday evening catching one (34"). Sun we saw six fish and caught one (35"). We also had two others hooked that threw the lure.
Sat was magical!!! After a slow morning we saw nine fish in the afternoon. Three hit, but we couldn't land any of the buggers. In the evening we landed three (43", 41", & 30"), had four on and lost 'em, and saw half a dozen others. Twice we nearly had a double (I've never heard of a muskie double). We got one one cabbage bed and found six very active fish on it. The bed was about half the size of a football field, so they were in there elbow to elbow! It was like a pack of wolves working an area- very cool. All in all, it was a great trip!
