bklimek
I've noticed some of my cranks and traps have splitting open down the back. It looks like its because of heat. Does anyone else experience this issue?
Gekhang
out of the 400-500 cranks ive painted so far, ive only ran into that issue one time when heat setting the paint with a heat gun on it alittle longer than it should. and thats with china KO cranks. i would maybe see if where you bought it can do anything about it? Deitz Dittrich
I have heard of a few cases where people store their boats outside, and its gotten warm enough in the storage compartments to melt cranks.. but have onlly heard of this a couple times. bASS_BLASTER
I know some people, instead of using their fingers to remove weed, they bang their cranks onto the surface of the water to get the weed off. They have a lot of split cranks.

TurnUpTheFishing
Last year on one of the hotter days I left a plano with crankbaits in the sun for over an hour and some of the cheaper, china, knock off baits actually warped.
