HookEmHard84
Has anyone rigged up a night setup that runs on battery power? How did it work, did you have enough light? I don't get out often enough to justify a big generator setup, just wondering if anyone has tried it and what kind of equipment they used. Shu
I am working on setting up my boat with 6 50W LED lights and plan on running them from 2 deep cell batteries. The lights and batteries are not cheap but less than a genny set-up. Should be plenty of light from what I have seen on other sites.

No_Net
I've never used leds and don't know much about them. What I've seen on another site is that more and more people are switching from halos and hps light to leds.
DTro
I see some of these carp setups with monster work lights and gas powered generators and always wonder why they are not using LED's??Seems like a no brainer, especially for short distance "flood type" beam. Fishjet
I used a power pack and a 1,000,000 candle power spotlight. I already had both, so it didn't cost a dime.
no bait nate
I'm looking to do the same thing on my boat John. I have two Halogen lights on the front of my new rig now that will run fine off the battery power I have, and will be looking into getting a few more depending on how well they work, maybe even going the route of LEDS. You will have to come down here next week for a shoot, from what I have been seeing while out panfishing there will be some excellent shooting during the sunshine hours in this area. Many bowfin laying the tops of weeds shallow that aren't spooky at all, and more buffalo than I could count schooling up as of last week!!
