Selmer
Got the girls out for the first shorefishing trip of the year. Minnesota River north of Montevideo. Only stayed for 90 minutes, couldn't keep three lines in the water. Kept four nice cats, released a couple dozen sheephead and a couple carp. Girls had a blast, I got a workout! Crawlers on the bottom behind a 1 oz. egg sinker.

Mr Special
I had a similar situation earlier the wk w/ my girls as well. Went through about 3tins of crawlers and at one point I pretty much stopped fishin. The girls had a blast so that's all that matters. Them redhorse n white suckers put up a great fite on wally gear n a 5' Hanna Montana rod. Which was the luckiest rod and caught the biggest fish. Go figure that eh. Now I wonder if I can talk em into makin a 8'MH Flatty version lol
Barbelboy
Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I'm starting to suspect something.Last year I tied up a salmon fly for trolling that I called "Hanna Montana", purple, silver & aqua in color.Took my 11 yr old niece coho fishing on lake superior, let her pick the fly she wanted, which of course was Hanna Montana and guess which flasher fly combo caught 7 of 9 salmon? Yup Hanna did. Maybe I'll paint a rapala or two those colors and see what happens.
