portageman
Anybody been to this in the past? Are the prices good or is it a waste of time? I am looking to pick up an inexpensive pump as a back up gun. There are 30 870's listed on the auction site.
cribbageboy
I'm thinking about checking it out myself. I've never been to one of these, but it seems like you could pick up a gun for a reasonable price. Kinda curious if it's a silent auction type deal. Can't imagine they would auction off each gun individually, but I'm not sure. I'd love to hear some input about how these auctions work. mnviking28
If they are anything like the DNR surplus auctions, in my opinion, they are a complete waste of time. We have a regional office here in Bemidji so we usually have an auction once a year. The last couple of years, I have gone up and looked at the stuff the night before the auction to see if it is worth it to go. There is everything at these auctions from snowmobiles, ATVs, pickups, skidsteer loaders, office equipment, you name it. However, almost everything at these auctions goes for about 3x what it is worth. It is like most of the people that go there think that if they want something, that they have to buy it, no matter what the cost. It must be a good deal if it is at an auction, right? I personally won't be going to another one.

KidMoe
This is kinda talking me out of going to the upcoming auction. Although it might be fun to see someone pay $500 for a basic
