Okay...just some fun informational situations before all the serious matters of open water take place. Feel free to have some fun and share to as why for any answers if you'd like.

1)You are keeping mobile on a small ledge marking and catching a ton of fish while using your trolling motor. After a nice long battle you've drifted some distance (30-40 yards) from your original location. You want to get back and quick to catch more fish. Do you:

a) start the big motor while leaving your trolling motor down as you don't have "too far" to go but don't want to waste or wait on your trolling motor. keeping it some what slow of course.

raise your trolling motor and b-line it over there to catch the hot bite.

c) just relax and turn the trolling motor on high and get there when you get there.

2)While out bobber fishing a popular mille lacs flat with tons of boats around and an infamous charter boat, you have the sudden urge to pee. Do you:

a)pull anchor and get away from everyone to go off the side

b)Stand off the bow and say "I'm king of the world" and let it go!

c)dig around and find something to go in...bait bucket, livewell.

d) wait till some other boat is catching a fish to draw eyes off of you and sneak one out the back

3.While pulling crank you reel in a huge weed on your rapal. Do you:

a) slam the rapala again and again on the water to break it free to only have to reach down and take it off any ways.

I'm and old vetran and know better. I'm just going to reach down and take it off right away and save myself the embarresment and time.

4.You've been fishing a break for 2 hours with no fish. A boat just comes up about 20 yards behind you and starts trolling and catches two within minutes. He's a good distance away now so do you:

a) pull anchor and go to where he just caught the fish and set up there.

stay where you are...they just got lucky

c)throw on a rapala and jump in his wake

d)save yourself the embarresment and move to a new location

1) - I can keep the boat in position and fight the fish at the same time, but I would choose C if the situation occurred.

2) - A, I don't like fishing crowds anyway.

3) - B, although I have gotten pretty good at snapping off weeds during the retrieve.

4) - E, switch to a trolling technique.

I'm and old vetran and know better. I'm just going to reach down and take it off right away and save myself the embarresment and time. If I'm fishing bass, then slam that lure on the water.

1) C. I'm a pretty chill guy and don't really hurry for anything that isn't work related.

2) 75% of the time I'll say A, the other 25% when Surly has been involved, well, I'm more likely to go with option D.

3) B. Always B. I've seen A go wrong and end up in a hand...

4) D. I have a lifetime supply of humble pills in my fishing boat for just this occasion.
