2005 dodge grand caravan

Recommended Posts

The locks on my 2005 dodge grand caravan won't lock or unlock; just started this morning. Is there a fuse for this? Doesn't work with the remote or with the lock button on the inside of the van. The Van has 106,000 or so miles on it.

Thanks for any help!

Fuse 19, 40 amp, and fuse 14 ,20 amp, in the underhood fuse panel are the two that supply power for the power locks. The locks are controlled by the body control module. The "switches" are actually more like sensors. If the fuses are good than you will need to scan BCM data to serif the BCM is recieving inputs from he switches and sending power to the lock soenoids.

We have a chr. van, the lock on the pass. side does not work. when you push the lock button, the lock on that door moves a little but does not lock or unlock. Is there a mod. for each door?

If it is trying to move but wont fully lock or unlock, then the lock solenoid is likely the problem. Before replacing it though verify that the linkage all moves freely and is not binding.
