Well, the success was low last year for the whole deer season as expected.

Good news is they have cut back the tags again for this season and with a few easy, mild winters, maybe in 2-4 years we will have the great succes we use to.

And then in 2-4 years the farmers and ranchers will be complaining just as loud as they have the previous 10 years about too many deer, so the G&F will up antlerless tags in hopes of bringing the numbers down again.

Wildlife managment is always a "follow-the-tail" up and down deal. It's when the adjustments are made to high or low one way or another that screws up things for a few years!

The video said many would go without doe tags this season with the low numbers. That's fine with me as they will rebound much faster.

When the numbers were to high, our renters were not happy with the damage to the crops and there was alot. If I was a farmer I would not want numbers as high as they were either.

Don't really need those huge numbers as one can harvest a deer without the herd being to large.
