water

One challenge I faced was making the mistake of standing IN the water. When using super slow shutter speeds, the water rushed up to the tripod, causing it to vibrate.

Note to self: don't stand in the water I'm working on something, but doubt it'll happen this summer

You captured a really great picture it is like you took good advantage of the motions around you and that really showed in your picture, also i can really see the dramatic flow of water that you captured so well in these shots! i can feel the serenity of it. good job!

Thanks "J"

I have always been drawn to water, and it takes a lot to pull these shots off.

When I'm doing outdoor photography, I tell myself "I am the canvas and nature is the artist" and go with the flow. Seems a lot of photographers capture the image, where my goal is to capture the moment.

What shutter speed do you go with on something like this? I want to learn how to do this. I am assuming slower is better but how slow?

Didn't know if there was a good point to start at.

Thanks for any advice and the pictures are great! nice job.

First of all, it takes A LOT of water to make this shot happen. As far as shutter speeds, I've found that the best shutter speeds are within 1 and 1/4 you can go slower than 1 but for the water I've seen around here isn't much difference on the effect.

Don't be afraid to play with your Fstop and ISO

Sounds good sir! I just have to get out and try it now.

Thanks.
