there are some coho salmon being cought off the Two Harbors breakwall and Loopers action off the French River shoreline as of last weekend. good luck

What are they using for the loopers? Have never fished the area but have a Daughter in Superior. Would like to try it some time. Any hints would be great. Thanks

Floats with looper bugs and waxies or eggs or chunk of crawler and bottom fishing with a crawler with a shot of air in it so it floats.

looked at the LSMMA CAM this morning and there has to be at least 30 anglers fishing of the park point side of the pier by the lift bridge. good luck.

just talked to my brother who lives in Duluth. he was out on a boat this morning with a friend. launched out of Two Harbors. trolled with stickbaits and spoons. they released one 28 inch stealhead and one 25 inch looper. wind picked up and they got off.

they noticed that the rivers are starting to run some water, but the mouths are still froze up for the most part. so if the warmer temps continue along with some rain it wont be long before the first run. good luck.

Any new reports on loopers in the area, wanted to get up there this weekend but the gf says I cant, so hoping to get out there next weekend.

probably better to make your girlfriend happy this weekend. my brother drives the shore almost daily and he will let me know when the rivers are ready. i will be there myself when they are. we need the rain. i would think by next weekend the streams on the southern part of the north shore will have some fish activity. i will post any information i have on the Fishing Reports thread here on this forum. good luck.
