SDSU Jackrabbits going to the Big Dance!

I normally wouldn't post this here, but being the star for SDSU is Nate Wolters who is from ST Cloud I had to. They played terrible last night but were fortunate to come away with a win.

Isn't it ironic to think that Wolters is playing at SDSU and now going to the NCAA tournament? Who would have thought he had a better chance doing that at SDSU rather than the Gophers? This is not a shot at the Gophers as I root for them too, but it just another example of recruiting mistakes made by Tubby Smith IMO.

Yes the Summit is nothing compared to the Big 10 I understand that, but its mind boggling to me that the Tubby cant recruit local kids with talent let alone get them into the NCAA tournament.

Was a big day for SDSU yesterday as both men and women won the Summit League tourney.

Good to see Wolters make it to the tourney. Seems weird that I played against him growing up in camps and such, but you could tell even back 8 years ago that he was really a special player. He makes everyone around him play better which is exactly what the Gophers could have used.

Not knocking the guy as I will be the first to admit he is a great player and more than worthy of playing Big Ten ball...but he has a very high usage rate and that offense has basically run through him for 3 years. Would he have been used the same way at Minnesota? No chance. I still think he would have been a fine piece of the puzzle in maroon and gold but I think he did well for himself by going to SDSU, why be a bit when you can be BMOC.

In fairness, if he went to Minnesota he would have been part of a NCAA tournament team and chances are he could have played point last year when Nolen was hurt and pushed the Gophers into the tournament and likely would have been a huge scoring piece for the Gophers to push them into the tournament this year.

There have been a number of snippets written about Wolters the last couple years as the Jacks and Gophs have squared off and he's been a lightning rod at GopherHole. No matter what, you can't say he's not a great player. I will be cheering for (but not picking) SDSU next week.

Congrats to Da J-Rabbits had a lot fun times back in the day at Brookings! No chicks to speak of but we made use of the cards that were dealt to us! smile

I'm am little disappointed on placing a bet on the over 108 1/2 points and having the game go into overtime and still not go over....DOH! Looked like a Gopher vs Badger game.. crazy

I wouldn't blame Tubby on this as I don't believe he would have seen the day of lite at the U.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
