First river run of the year tomorrow!

Me and a buddy are going to hit an 8 mile stretch of the Le Seuer river tomorrow, should be fun, will report back on ice jam status

well the trip was fun, only three ice jams, oh and I rescued a mature bald eagle that was stuck on the edge of a bank in the water! He or she couldn't fly so I called DNR and then grabbed it and placed it in my jacket and continued on for 5 more miles before we met up with the dnr and they took it to the Raptor center. It it something else holding an eagle as it looks you in the eyes. I hope it makes a full recovery.

Maybe the Raptor Center could keep you up to date on this eagles status. You could try to contact them and see. http://www.raptor.cvm.umn.edu/

I know a guy that volunteers there a couple times a week. He might be able to get info on this eagle too.

Seriously awesome job with the eagle, lots of respect. That must have been quite an experience!!

I've volunteered with wild bird rehab (I've mostly done songbird hatchlings), it's not an easy job. I hope the bald eagle can make a recovery.

Wow, what a trip! I won't be on the water for a while (though the Sauk River by me is opening up nicely ) and I can only say I'm jealous!
