Crow Hunting

Recommended Posts

Going to hit em hard early tomorrow morning. Its a blast when you can get them worked up enough to get them coming back in to the decoy. Make sure you blend in well with the surroundings.

Havent been out yet but once a year at the end of March a good friend of mine and myself take part in a crow tourny and it's a blast. We actually even won a couple years back. What we found works best for us is just the caller get hidden and leave the deek's at home. We've also tried bait piles but the raven's, eagles, buzzards & magpies take over then. Good luck!!

Shot nine over the past weekend. Just using the caller and the owl/crow fight tape. Most of them were flight birds that were moving through but just had to stop and take a look at what all the racket was. Missed another three or so. Good time for sure.

You better believe they are smart. The ones that spent the winter here you might get one chance at and that's it. A lot of them won't even come in for a look. They sit in a tree 200 yards away and call like crazy and that's all the closer they get.
