Need new ice fishing jig box...

Get one of Clam's Ice Armor Boxes for jigging spoons. For jigs, check out the Rose Creek Polar Ice Box. No more piles of tangled jigs with paint chips broken off. For darters, jigging rapalas, and other assorted gear, try some Today's Tackle Tackle Pouches to keep them from banging paint off each other. You can toss them into some tackle trays in a soft-sided box or whatever your fancy is.

Depending on what you carry for jigs and extraneous equipment a dry fly box will serve you well. For panfish dry fly boxes are awsome fo a person that fishes a little of this and a little of that you have to find a box that can accommadate all of the stuff you need to bring. I like the dry fly boxes because they keep all of my panfish jigs"up top" and available for me to choose from. No need to take a big tackle box on the lake if you have a clear idea of what you are after. I have one box, I believe it is an older plano style aluminum box that houses most of my panfish lures, plenty of smaller jigging spoons and some terminal tackle that fits in an oversized pocket that works for most lakes that I fish.

I might be a little anal, but here's what I did after untangling jigs. I took the plastic bait boxes tht fit in my soft side and pulled out all of the cross members. The tray is now as long as the box is wide. I then went to the office supply store and bought styrofoam and cut it to fit into each of the sections. I put my jigs in and hook them into the foam. Was a little bit of work but it works great. I did this almost 10 years ago and the styro is still holding up, no problems....Just a thought. Good project on a cold winter day when you're thinking about fishing. laugh
