bowhunt
Hey everyone,I am wondering if you spear the same locations late season as you do early season? I didn't spear for several weeks, and now I am not seeing a thing in the new spots I have been trying. Trying to decide if I should go back to where I had luck early season. Hopefully everyone else is seeing fish.Bowhunt
MJ1657
I normally move to a little deeper water later in the season. I didn't last year and I think I should have.
Gordie
last year we had a ton of snow on the ice this we dont. Not sure if that affects anything but I know that the panfish are still shallow so thats where the food is for the pike. Myself, I would try and find a weedline that is close to the shallow water weed flats or a shallow water sandbar that hold bait fish and you should be able to find the pike. SFC
I have been fishing in about 5 feet of water in heavey weeds sight fishing panfish. Been out 2 times this week and have seen 6 northerns. Three each time out, varying sizes. One nailed a sunfish as I was bringing it up. The northern won the fight and the sunfish.
