Wildlineman
Where is everyone going for Muskie opener this year? I plan on fishing the St. Louis River near Lake Superior or Island Lake north of Duluth. Can't seem to make up my mind but all I know is that I have the "itch" bad!!Good Luck this yearShayne
Guest
I'm thinking about trying somewhere in the metro here. I started fishing for muskies last year and have yet to catch one. This is the year though. So maybe tonka, or rebecca, or even harriet. My grandparents have a cabin on sturgeon just south of duluth, which is right next to island so I might try up there as well. RuKiddingMe
I'll be in the Alexandria Area, Miltona or Lobster, guess it will be a game time decision.Muskies to all in 2003Matt
bucktail
West Battle Lake, the muskie jewel in Ottertail county.
Lunker
I may sound amateur among these musky purists, but I'm gonna hit up nokomis for tigers. Figured low boat traffic, easily covered in my jon boat, and surprisingly large fish.

fisherdog19
I'll be fishing Big Detroit along with my fellow Fargo Moorhead MI chapter members. We are having a lunch get together at the Holiday Inn, should be a great time. If anyone will be fishing the lake and is not a member, feel free to stop in around 12:30pm and say hello. Good luck to all and don't forget to set the hook!Fisherdog

Wildlineman
Superfish,I am also going to concentrate some of my time on Island Lake near Sturgeon Lake in Pine County. I heard through the grapevine that someone caught a 50"+ there in the last couple years. Guideman,I just have to get up to the "Big V" this year. I'm only about 1 1/2 hours away. The lake looks quite intimidating for a guy who fishes out of a 14' boat.......I need a new boat!!!My brother-in-law lives near Fergus Falls and we fished Beers Lake last year. Caught and released a 40"er. Lots of great lakes in that neck of the woods![This message has been edited by Wildlineman (edited 05-25-2003).]
NoodleSalad
I'll probably hit up Cross Lake. Leech Lake strain in there. They get pretty big in river flowages. Plus you can feel pretty good about throwing some BullDog's. -NS-

Fish-n-Freak
One vote for Minnetonka -- with the rain/clouds and wind forcasted I think boat traffic should be slow. Might actually be able to standup in the boat. :-PHope everyone has a great opener!Freak
