Old Recurve?

Recommended Posts

So my dad whipped out an old recurve from the attic last night.

I was wondering if any of you know what the demand for these things are these days, I know it was hunted with for a few years then had been sitting in the attic for probably over 30 years now. It even has a brand new string for it. The bow is in excellent shape.

It's a Ben Pearson "ROGUE" 7058 AMO-58" 50lb 28"

My dad said he thinks he bought it mid 70's sometime like 1974 or 1975.

Was wondering how to sell it for something, my dad wants to get a brand new bow and asked me to get rid of the antique for him.

$80-$150 or so on the top end..throw it on the big E and see what happens. The Bears and a handful of others are worth some real money..There is the exact one listed on the big E right now.....I would personally keep it for a while longer....

Save it for hunting. If they remove the inlines because they aren't primitive, maybe next they will remove the compound bows. I'm going to check out my old Bear Grizzly, and get it ready.

I'd start shooting it.

Yep I have my first recuve that I got when I was 14 over thirty years ago and I had a new string made for it and I have shot on and off for the last 5 years. Brings me back to a day when things were simple I still shoot it with no sights and it really gets me in tune with what's going on. It actually makes me think of my shot and what I need to do to keep form for shooting.

It's a 45 pound Ben Pearson

Put it in the HSO classifieds ..it's free
