which spinning reel?

I am in the market for a new spinning reel for jigging and rigging. I am debating between the Patriarch or CI4. Both reels are nice and light and seem well built. I am leaning towards the Pflueger though, it seems smoother and I like the handle grip better.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these reels good or bad? Hopefully someone can give me some info to help me decide.

I don't think either one is bad and since you like the feel and looks of the pflueger I think you should buy that one. Both are fantastic reels but if you prefer the pflueger then how could you go wrong?

I would go with the Ci4. The shimano is built better than the patriarch and you get a much better warranty with it as well. Stradics have always been bulletproof. One of the reasons why the patriarch might feel a little smoother is because the Ci4 has a higher gear ratio which to me is a bonus.

get the Ci4 micro, and you can use that ice fishing. Then you won't feel so bad paying that much for use 6 months of the year. When you can use it year round. (Assuming if you like hard season)

My Supreme XT has held up quite well. There are lots of Shimano fans on this board, but honestly I have not heard many complaints at all about Pflueger's gear.
