Anyone mounted the Marcum transducer swing arm to Vex?

I'm getting tired of the float, and the little eye bolt is not going to cut it, so I'm thinking of using something like the Marcum swing arm. Just wondering if anyone has mounted it to a Vexilar Pro Pack and how you did it?

Check the vexilar HSOforum they have them on there. It's a ARM that slides over the rod holder and is similar to marcums. I got one for my fl22 and like better than the float or eyebolt.

Why not just sell the Vexilar and buy a Marcum LX5. You would then have the swing arm and a better flasher.

I dont know if I'm just lucky but I just lay the foam on the ice right beside the hole and pack a lil ice around it and it stays there.

Yep, I did just that. I have the pro pack and I used a 4" bolt pushed up thru the hole in the bottom towards the front. I used washers as spacers then tightened the swing arm on the top. Works great

NC - go to the vex site, scroll over the accessories without clicking, move down to the ice pack add-ons and click that. The bottom right option is more parts and accessories, it's in there.

I was looking around at those - Capra's has them on their HSOforum for $7.99 which is the cheapest I found - may be able to get it at their store for that also.

Myself and a few of my friends that run marcums have all switched over to vexilar floats on ours. Seems like the transducer arm on the marcums likes to snap off. Never gave a second thought to replacing it. Just threw the float and stop on and never looked back.

My FL-8 has a arm that is a quick attach to the pack.

I have the option for a float or the arm.

Surprised it did not come with it.

I like the arm over the float too.

The advantage of using the marcum arm is, it is longer and articulated for easier positioning. The short vex arms have their limitations

I don't get it............what's wrong with using the float?

I got rid of my marcum arm and put on a vex float. Way more convienient. You can place the flasher where ever you like, even on an uneven snow/slush bank and your line doesn't get caught in the arm.

Just don't see any advantage to that arm.

Never caught my line on the arm, cables always against the ise out of the way... When I owned Vex's first thing I did was take off the annoying float...
