I think that when Paterno's legacy is discussed ten, twenty, or thirty years from now, the good he did will count for more than the mistakes that ended his career.

I wish for his sake he would have walked away earlier. The scandal obviously contributes to my opinion, but also that bad run he had in the mid-2000's and the fact that he looked gimp and half blind out there in the last few years. He did a lot of good for a lot of kids and to me that's a worthy legacy.

He had a great record and reputation through his whole career except for his last two months. Sad how everything turn out for him.
