Insulated hub house?

Anyone spear from a hub house with insulated fabric?

My quickfish 3 is getting old and I'm starting to look for a replacement. I'd like to get another hub house, preferably with insulated fabric. Has anyone tried the insulated Eskimo Fatfish or the insulated AP Outdoors house for spearing? If you have, what do you think of them?

I have the ff 949i. Works fairly well if its not windy, plenty of space, does leak some light. Mine is being replaced, every time I use it lately something new falls apart. Sounds like they are having some issues. Think I'm going to spend some money and go with a canvas craft flip over...

I havent speared out of it yet but my AP Xi3 (non-insulated) would be dark enough for spearing. I've been meaning to use it for spearing, just havent had the time.

I was wondering how the insulated fabric would be for a darkhouse, especially the AP house with it's grey interior. Now I just have to look around for a good deal.

I have a CC insulated portable and one can see pretty good when I am angling.

I can see my panfish jig 6 ft down without a problem and the house was not banked at all as there was zero snow.

FF has a house called Arctic Shield. Its a 6by8 hub and looks to be black on the inside. might be worth checking out.

I looked at one today at FF.

Looks identical to the Clam Summit Thermal. Same windows, gear loft, size, etc.. just differnt color fabric. Included a nylon cloth floor.

I was talking to a person about his artic shield. He said its been the best house that he has had.
