Riding in the Black Hills?

Anyone ever get out to the Black Hill to ride? I heard it was a pretty nice ride out there? The guys I talked to said they thought is was better then Yellow Stone?

we looked at going out there. I understand that it's kinda hit/miss w/ snow. They'll have snow one day, but it'll be melting the next day sometimes. I'm hearing 2nd hand though. I think it would be great place to ride AND Deadwood for gambling is right there

I have been out there about 5 times in the past 18 years and we always had a great time, yes it can be hit or miss but we had mostly hits, scenery is awesome and can find some good play areas, trails are so well marked a 2 yearold could find around. we stayed at spearfish canyon lodge, also trailshead is another good place, Jan and feb best time to go . Have fun.

We have been there a few times. But who ever said its better than Yellowstone is crazy. Just like the name says Black HILLS. Yellowstone is the real mountains. We actually have been going to Island Park Idaho for the last 10 years and there trails hook up to West Yellowstones trails.

There is always snow in the mountains and lots of places to stay.
