Tires for Jeep Liberty

Recommended Posts

Am looking for info on what tires to get for 2006 jeep liberty. Size for tires is 235 75 16. Also where is best to buy. First time having to buy tires since moving to America so my knowledge of where is good and bad is not good. Any info is appreciated.

Thanks

I love my Michelin tires on my Ford Explorer. Ford gave me a set in the recall and they lasted close to 100k miles. Finally started to crack after like 9 or 10 years. (recall was in 2000 and I got new tires in 2010) so I bought another set.

They are smooth and quiet. Had good traction in snow. Only downer is that they cost more.

I found the Tire Rack HSOforum a great help in locating tire information. Each tire has hundreds of surveys along with what vehicle they were on. As far as someone with a consistently good price, Discount or Tires Plus are good places to check for prices and offer free rotations. I purchase my tires from my local dealership though since they will match prices, honor the rotations and I use their quick lube for oil changes. I found that I didn't take advantage of the free rotations if that was all I was going for.

I can't speak for the two tires your looking at but that Firestone is rated real high. My old tires were Bridgestone Dueler Revos and I replaced them last winter with Good Year Duratracs. If your looking for something a bit more aggessive than an AT but don't want a mud tire I'd recommend looking at the Duratracs. The best tires in snow that I've had.
