hooksetter
I recently purchased this ATV and yesterday tried the awd for the first time while plowing the driveway and guess what? It doesn't work!Anyone have a similar set up and have any ideas of what to check? Another bit of info that may be relevent is that I need to hold the reverse override button when going in reverse or the engine dies. Thanks for any help. If I need to take it in to have it repaired does anyone have any recommendations in the south metro?Hook
rundrave
there is a rev limiter in reverse, unless you hold down the yellow button on the left side of the handlebars. Its a safety feature, also keep in mind that you will not get 4wd unless the button is held while in reverse.
hooksetter
Thank you for the input rundave. You are right on target. I brought it in to a local dealer and as luck would have it the awd AND the reverse worked perfectly while loading it on the trailer!I still paid the $150 to have them look it over and as it turns out it is a ground issue - which I guess explains the intermitent nature of the problem.Facing the options of living with it working sometimes and sometimes not or just getting it fixed I chose the latter. The fix: Replace the rev limiter - ground where the reverse override and the awd is all grounded. I'll be back in business by the weekend. Thanks again for your help.
