Don Canney - Leech Lake Knives

I know Don is no longer with us but does anyone know what this means for his knives?

I heard talk that the family was going to keep doing what he was doing. Every year I would bring my knife in to Don to get sharpened. Wondering if we are going to see the family take over the sport shows or if I should invest in a nice knife sharpener????

Love this knife! Best knife I have ever owned!

Check with guys that resharpen auger blades they maybe able to bring it back or I would learn how to use a stone and work it until you get they way you want it. I use a stone or sharping all my knifes and was taught by my dad but I have had a couple of knifes done at a place that sharpens blades and I wasn't disappointed

Hi, my new Leech Lake just came in the mail the other day and last night I filleted three fish and today the edge feels dull already. Does that sound right to you? Tried to sharpen it with a ceramic rod that Reed's recommended but it still doesn't feel that sharp. What do you guys think?

Thanks,

Chad
