huntnfish
I did something very stupid the other day and almost completely disassembled my Rock River AR and now its not feeding properly. It ejects the spent casing but isn't picking up the next round. I'm almost positive that I don;t have the gas block aligned with the hole in the barrel. I don't like to accept defeat so I've been trying to get it aligned to no avail. Am I going to have to break down and bring it to a professional or is there a simple way to get it back into position? I've got the tactical gas block on it and not the sight.
gunmunky
You can use a tape measure if you are very precise. It works better if you have a good set of calipers. I have also done it with a flashlight, remove the gas tube/ shine the light in where the tube goes and look into the muzzle end and adjust until you get the brightest light. Works bset with a small ended flashlight. Hope this helps. .
carpshooterdeluxe
probably plenty of videos on youtube or ar15.com that would be helpful.
Notcho
Short stroking, not lined up with the gas port on the barrel. If your block has set screws loosen them and eyeball it so the rail is level and try that. What part of ND are you at? In DL Gerrels can fix it or Sportsman's loft in Minot. Or Mandan Sporting goods.
