Anybody use small snap swivels to switch out spoons, raps, etc

I have used the little snaps without the swivels, not so much a snap but a hook. I have used on some summer stuff too.

I have used them in the winter on my forage minnow spoons, and some other stuff, if you use too small of one it is hard to get the hooks on. I believe there are some on my winter minnow raps? if I am thinking of the right name for the jig. It is used on the center hook (treble one) Can't remember the name but they work ok. I heard about them on one of the fishing shows to put between your spoon and hook so you can slide a minnow head on the treble and it stays on better/longer....in-fisherman series I believe

i use em all the time for ease of changing lures & hopefully a more natural action with them....that said, im far from an expert

Yes, use it. I will tie direct to tame the action some as well.

I heard a guy say once that you should have a swivel on every line no matter the season to help prevent line twist. I never try it only because it doesn't look right when connected directly to the jig/rag/spoon. It just reminds me of how I fished when I was a kid. I've contemplated using a leader with a simple swivel, but I think that would just deter me from switching presentation as much as I would like to. I'm no expert on swivels and when/how to use them so I stay away. Maybe someone can help fill me in as well. But on the other hand I've heard that you NEED them for the darters or jigging spoons in general. Ever see you're line after jigging them for 20 minutes straight without a swivel, not ideal

I use a snap swivel all the time walleye fishing. Never seems to affect my catch rate. Not sure if you care or not, but Doug Stange of In-Fisherman uses the snap swivels as well.

I use the tiny snaps. Sometimes can be a challenge with cold hands, but I always have some hemostats nearby. That helps.

I especially like to have them on my kid's line...he always wants to try something else...now he can do it himself without taking 10 minutes to tie a knot.

i use a small ball berring snap swivel with spoons but not with jigs. i also use the small snaps for jigs. i use a needle nose plier to hold the snap and it helps when i take the jig off and on. good luck.

I use a spro barrel swivel with a leader of line, then attach a snap, cross lock, or no knot. The leader of line should be shorter than your rod so you don't reel the swivel into your line guides. This prevents line twists and gives your lure more action.

I use them without any problems, though I do have a hard time opening them and closing them if I'm fishing outside the shelter. Gotta have a pliers with. Or less-fat fingers.

I ALWAYS USE A SMALL SNAP AT THE LURE AND THEN INSERT A SMALL BALLBERING SWIVEL

ABOUT 2FT UP THE MAIN LINE..HAVE HAD NO LINE TWIST PROBLEM WITH THIS SET UP.

THIS WORKS GREAT WITH BOTH JIGS AND SPOONS.... ><(((*>

Works great, too, for panfishing presentation. Spinning lures really turn off finicky panfish.
