SmilinBob
Gordy, check out Track of the Wolf in Elk River, they have a nice display area and are great people to work with in the field of the most traditional stuff, even I admit a serious lack of knowledge in flintlocks. I do have an older Cabelas brand (can't remember the maker now, but it's Italian) hawken caplock and love it, give me a call sometime and we can chat about them. swamptiger
One of my neighbors is into the rendevous/re-enactor events, and he has several flintlocks he has built from scratch, buying the parts from suppliers like Track of the Wolf and Dixie Gun Works - very cool old longguns, and some are surprisingly not very heavy.
