Showdown Troller Problem!!

I got a showdown troller last year and had no problems. for what its designed for it works great. i was getting all my stuff ready and charged up and turned the troller on to check to make sure everything was working fine and it immediately shuts back off. i have the soft pack dock so i tried 2 other batteries besides the one i started with and had the same result. then also tried it with just the AA batteries on board and same result. If i hold the power button down to put it into demo mode then it will stay on but as soon as i take it off demo mode it shuts down. Was wondering if anyone else had this problem? I have sent off an email to marcum and am waiting for a reply back but i thought id check with you guys to see if anyone here has run into the problem or has any ideas.

I had just the oppposit. When on external power i would shut in of and it would come back on. Called marcum and they sent a return authorization and fixed it. Got it back yesterday.

have never had any problems with mine, luv it!! but customer service would be the first place i check

Mine did exactly the same thin. Contacted Marcum, fixed it riht away.

well looks like i need to hold out with my first instinct and wait for the email back from marcum or seeing as im impatient i might just give em a call tomorrow.

I find that if I don't keep 6 fresh batteries in the unit it will only work in demo mode but as soon as new batteries go in the unit works great for 8-10 hours.

The "batt" will flash in the lower left corner when juice is getting low so watch for that. I love my troller as I am very portable and the light weight and ability to just stuff in my jacket pocket makes it perfect for me.

i bought one in late november last year. whenever i turn mine on now it goes into demo mode but does not display anything on the graph. i tried it with both the 12v battery and the 6 AA. has anyone else had this problem?

This is weird...I had mine do the same thing today! Never had a problem all last year. Today it starts acting up. Started shutting down upon start up. Changed AA batteries even tho last year got way more hours from a set. Unit started working. 10 minutes with new batteries...I see batt flashing in the corner. Not good. Another call to marcum coming up...gd it!!!!

I had my showdown (one of the first models to come out) do the same thing. Sent it in several times and got it updated and everything but it would start doing it again after a day or two. Now its in the garbage, not happy at all with the showdown.

Good news is I got a new to me marcum lx2 that works great.

I put a ton of hours on troller last winter, both on the AA batteries and in the 12 volt shuttle with no problems. So far so good this season too.
