Made Turkey in the roaster

Recommended Posts

Last night I made supper, a turkey dinner I wanted to try something differnet so I used a hamilton beach 18 qt roaster and it turned out great.

I basted the turkey with mayo and then I took a almost empty bottle of ranch dressing took the top off and added a 1/4 cup lemon juice to it and shook it up to mix it up then installed the top and squirted some into the breast cavity along with some seasoned saly and Mrs. Dash seasonings.

I put the turkey on the rack and then added 2 1/2 cups of water to the bottom of the roaster set the turkey in on the rack.(I had already preheated the roaster to 350 degrees) put in a bunch of whole red potatoes and covered it up.

I let roast for 2 1/2 hours then basted the turkey with the rest of the ranch/lemon juice mixture took the potatoes out cause they were done so I could make mashed potatoes.

Let The turkey roast for about another hour then checked it it was at 185 degrees turned roaster to warm until dinner... What a moist and tastey turkey

Made some really good gravey also
