Just curious if anyone out there has hunted unit 24 in Colorado. More specifically around the Doris/ Trapper lake area. My last elk hunt was around Gunnison but we are looking at this area as it is over the counter and we have no points. Any input is appreciated.

I will take anything you are willing to share, but mostly concerned about the terrain and success. I was wondering if it was similiar the Gunnison area. We dont have horses this time so we will be packing in. The area I would like to camp is about two miles in so it will be a brutal setup time.From what I hear they are pressureed pretty good in that area so it is a lot of dark timber hunting.
