Deer stands by the swamp

Recommended Posts

find some old telephone poles, we use those in our river bottom an sink them four feet down. But we also put them in a dry area, they would work in marshy areas but dont know if shifting would accure, but they last for ever, at leat my time anyway.

I hunt in the swamp. We have various permanent and commercial ladder stands in there.

Some of the built stands were done with old telephone poles. The are heavy as f and built to take the weather. The rest of those stands were built with green treated wood.

I built one last year with green treat wood only. It is just plunked down in the muck.
