Another question

I looked in the regs and couldnt find anything... Can you use bait for coyotes? I was thinking something like car killed animals, but want to know if I can do that or not. Thanks

Ya know we where just talking about this yesterday and was wondering as years ago using deer parts was bad news but now I don't see anything on it. I did see the soaring bird law where foothold traps can not be within 20 feet of exsposed bait.

I think the main concern is in catching eagles, ravens, etc., if traps are set too close to a carcass. If coyotes or other animals are feeding on a carcass, there should be a trail or trails leading to it, so they could be set a good distance away from the carcass on a trail.

Don't waste your time, it won't work until late in the year when it gets tough. I used bait a few times to snare last year, but it takes a long time before they use it.
