My brother wont get much sleep tonight...

Well my brother was hunting in Wisconsin today (near Madison) and shot the biggest deer of his life. He called me right after he shot it, and I could tell how pumped he was. He said the shot was a little closer to the shoulder than he wanted, but he still thought it was a good shot. Well he got down to look for the blood, and all he found was half of his arrow. I'm guessing he hit the shoulder.

He eventually found the blood trail a ways away, but as he trailed it, it ran onto the neighboring property. It was getting dark so he marked the spot and is going back in the morning. He said it was just like on TV...he was watching a little 4 pointer to his left, than he saw movement to his right, and all he could see were antlers above the grass. He was with when my dad shot his 145" 9 pointer and when my uncle shot a 160" 11 pointer. So he's seen big deer and this one was just as big as though from the sounds of it.

He hunts harder than anyone I know, so I hope he can find this one. I'll be praying the deer will bleed out and it'll be laying there in the morning. I'll hopefully have good news to report in the morning!

I just got back. Unfortunately, my brother could not find the deer. But he got some good news, earlier tonight his buddy saw the same deer runnign around just fine. So he is still around and in the area. So hopefully he gets another crack at him!
