Marcus Taplin
I just moved into WI and would like some advice on lakes for Ice Fishing. Also, if there are any guys that would like to meet up and do some Ice Fishing this winter PM me. I am also a big Waterfowler so I would love to meet some guys that hit the Ducks and Geese. Thanks for your suggestions fellas! Tap
DonBo
Not a lot of lakes in the area. Pine Lake just north of Baldwin is pretty popular. The St. Croix River at Bayport is not too far and can be a great fishery for crappie and walleye through the ice.Good luck!
Nick Kuhn
Yeah, Baldwin is in a pretty lake free part of the state. Pine is only about 5 miles away, though I really don't hear much about the fishing there. There's also George Lake (or the Eau Galle Reservoir) which again I haven't heard much about. Otherwise you are looking at about 20 miles to St. Croix, Bass Lake, Cedar, or Menomin. You can hit Wapogasset at about 30 miles away as well.
