Red_Eye
I have a Sportsman 500 in need of new tires. It is used almost 100% on snow and ice. Looking for recommendations. Thanks.
Dave S
One of the best tires for snow that I've seen is the Maxxis Bighorn.
Rippinlip
One of the best tires for snow that I've seen is the Maxxis Bighorn. Great recommendation above.I have Zilla's on mine and they are tremendous on snow and in the mud, but are almost worthless on ice.

Red_Eye
Thanks for all the good feedback. Another question regarding size. Currently I have 25x11x10 on back and 25x8x12 on front. What is the recommendation about size for front and back? Thanks again
Carpenter
I second or third the ITP Mudlite XTRs. Radials, good traction, still a smooth ride. Depending on the year of the wheeler I wouldn't go over the 26" mark. Triple check your rim sizes. If you really have 10"ers in back you'll have to use the standard mudlites instead of the XTRs (in that brand). As for width, I'd stay close to what you have stock. Maybe go an extra inch but wouldn't go much more as you could rub. I had to get spacers for the rear of my XP. But when it comes to glare ice...it's like your truck...it won't matter how much snow/mud traction you have. Chains are your best option there. But for ice fishing I think you're golden with the mudlites. just my .
