Coon Opener success!

My brother and I took our kids and my coon hound out tonight for the opener and we took 2 boars, 1 sow, and 3 kits. Off to a good start!

Very nice, were they prime? We got 4 tonight, rather easy and stopped, their hides werent very prime, not really worth taking them until it gets a little cooler, and their hides thicken up a bit.

The 3 adults were real thick, the kits looked good on the back, but were still a little thin in the tail. We are going to hit my Dad's place early and often to slow the corn damage, so hides are secondary there, but we will see what we come up with on some of the other farms we hunt. Many of the farmers get real [PoorWordUsage] if they hear your passing on the kits, as the reason they give us permission is to get rid of the corn damage, so we can only leave kits in a few of the places we go, they make a pretty good hide in a month or so if we can leave them.
