Lindy Shadlings

I have used the shadlings almost exclusivly from June till September. I own many and can honestly say I have only had 1 #5 act a little goofy on me. That's pretty good considering I probably have 50 or 60 of these them. So far the shadlings are top notch in my book.

Have you had problems with multiple lures. If so I would say look at your snaps. I have had the best luck with #2 snaps only not snap swivels.

Thanks, I have used # 5's and it seems that maybe the snap may be the issue. I also use Rapala #5's but don't seem to have the issue with them. I am using a small #2 BB swivel. Would this cause the shadling to have issues and not the Rapala. Love both just seem to have issues with the shadling and by the way it sounds it's more than likely something I'm doing.

Shadlings are marketed to run true out of the box up to a certain mph.

With that said, any new crank out of the package should be tuned alongside the boat before pulling. Just takes a minute. If its off, you can tweak it and get it right.

I'm not a fan of running ball bearing snap swivels in front of a crank, shouldn't have to and can really mess up the action. Simple cross lock snap is all thats needed. Run the swivel much further up the line if you think you need one.

On a good note some Ganders are clearing some Shadlings out now. Only certain colors but Im getting them for like $1.97 a piece at my Gander but they are going quick. every time I have a extra $20 I go get 10 more. I think they are down to 8 left. I know I got all the size 5's they had a long time ago.
