Lowrance HDS 5 Question

Will my old lakemaster pro map Mn chip work in a HDS 5? If it does, i can't get it to work. Am I stuck with purchasing the Insight chip?

It should, I had issues with my HDS reading a 2010 lakemaster chip. Have since went back to navionics. Your LM is a lowrance chip and not HB right?

it has to be the chip that works in Lowrance products. If it isn't you're SOL.

Some of the older Lakemaster chips don't play well with the HDS series. I was talking to the Lowrance rep out in South Dakota this summer about a freezing up problem we where having and he said it was the older chips. Got a new chip and it fixed it right up.

x2. As long as its a Lowrance Chip, I have had no issues with them working.
