North Dakota Twist of Fate handi capped archery hunt

Well, we had perfect weather from Thursday through Sunday for the 12 hunters we had in camp. Our hunters hunted starting Thursday evening through Saturday evening. I wish our groups that go most weekends could do that well for one weekend.

Without a doubt the best hunt we have had in the 14 season this hunt has been held.

If some guys found the last deer stuck last night, the 12 hunters scored 12 deer for a perfect hunt.

There were 10 bucks and 2 does.

That is our highest total and also our highest number of bucks ever shot in one hunt.

Many happy hunters and guides.

Scoot, we had talked about how the deer herd is down from the past three hard winters. Talking to the other guides and from what they and I have seen for deer numbers and what was on the trail cameras, there are without a doubt many more deer than thought.

I was very suprised at both the numbers of bucks and does I had on the trail camera.

After hearing about the hard winter and talking to some local Game & Fish people, I thought the deer were down alot more than what it appears to be.

Then, I may have just found one good area also. I will know more next week as we are leaving for ND again this week.
