Mugsaway
We just reserved a camper cabin for 2 nights at the Lake Carlos State Park. This will be our first experience in one of these cabins.Wondering if anyone has ever stayed in one before and could let me know what is inside (couch? refrig? counters? etc). The person at the DNR could not provide me with any information and I have not run into any specifics as far as searching.
highlife4me
Basically it is a step above tent camping. Two bunk beds with a double on the bottom and a twin on top. Sleeps 6 people. Table and chairs or benches. Most have a screen porch. No refrigerator. Some do not even have electricity but many do. No cooking is allowed in cabin except for a crockpot and electric coffe maker if you have electricity. Some even have heat. No bathroom or running water. I believe they are 12 x 16 so there isn't room for anything but beds and table and chairs. Not a Hilton but for $50 a night they are very reasonabe and even priceless if it should rain. Have fun. Wish-I-Were-Fishn
One of the best ways to camp IMO. I love them, unless it's hot outside.
