Shocks for a 1-ton diesel?

Recommended Posts

My truck has 125K miles on it and I think it has the factory shocks. blush

Anyway, some other internet research has pointed to Bilsteins, but at almost $400 and some mixed reviews I'm not sure if that's worth my time.

Does anyone else have some suggestions for good shocks for a 2005 Ford F350 1-ton? I drive about 75-80% on road, and the rest off-road/dirt road/hunting backroads. I also tow a smaller camper 2000-5000 miles a year.

Bilsteins are the best out there. Check the big auction site, they have good prices sometimes.

I usually buy the new OEM removed at dealer when they install lift kits, they are excellent shocks, and I buy the same place above. You can find a new set of 4 for 50 bucks or a little more including shipping.
