If you are going to a lake that is bog stained chrome and tinsel lures are our go to lures for us. Blue and gold are the key colors. I like rapalas deep diving husky jerks around rocks. Suicks, tinsel spinnerbaits, and double showgirls are my best baits around weeds. Look for rocky points and rock piles. Also in and around bays with a sand shoreline usually hols weeds. The chrome and tinsel seems to be more effective on the sunny days.

I do best finding sunfish and move a little farther out on the weedline...gotten some of my biggest on small panther partins with 4lbs test...little extra challenge, or a good rocky bass/walleye spot and throw something big, 3" paddle tail on a chartreuse jig, large bucktail spinner, f-13, f-18 float raps. Have fun and like someone said...99.9% deet and lots of it!!
