Info on Nissan Pathfinder

Does anyone have anything, good or bad, to say about Nissan Pathfinders? I'm looking to get a 2003 LE and I'm trying to get as much feedback possible from pathfinder owners on the good and bad. It seems the 2001 had more tranny problems than other years and 2003 came out the cleanest. So far I've heard a lot of good things.

Yeah there cute and for the most part fairly reliable but they will turn into a turd pretty quick if you don't keep up on the repairs.

I agree, but anything will turn into a turd if left alone, rode hard and put away wet. But as far as the pathfinder, I would put that up against any domestic suv out there. spend a little more on upkeep? maybe, have to find that special tech to work on it? again maybe yes. but it would all be worth it. I say GO FOR IT! They are built well, and will take a good beatin' an come cryin' for more.

I'd have a hard time buying another pathfinder. Although I enjoyed my 95 pathy and it lasted me a while, nissan sure cut corners(cheap steel, too thin of gauge of wiring). Was runnign great when they towed it to the junkyard. Both sides of the frame rusted out and snapped severing my rear brake cables.
