I find the best hunting is in central or south central. Sorry nothing for you on the Mn/Sd border from my knowledge bank.

One that guides ducks. the eastern 1/3 of the state is water logged right now. I drove from Browns Valley over to Waubay, south down to Lake Poinsett, SW over into Hanson County, and Back to Sioux Falls on Sunday, and I can count the number of pheasants I saw on 1 hand.

There are going to be a lot of pen birds shot this fall.

Do you really need an outfitter to hunt pheasants in S.D.? I thought those things were thicker than pigeons down there...

Not in eastern so dak. I have seen fewer pheasants this summer living in so dak than I ever have in mn. Ducks and geese are thicker than pigeons.
