Bear tags?

Boar...I'm back in the saddle. I just ordered #1000 pounds of bait, some new protective boxes for my Moultrie M80's and have scheduled a trip to the shack tomorrow to get things in order for opening baiting next weekend. I am pretty stoked.

I am pretty sure they are gone. My buddy Dave was going to try and get one at noon and he forgot. He went online to purchase one at 12:30 and only area 22 had any left. So he could not get one. As far as online being legit, I emailed the DNR yesterday and he thought that might be faster then going to buy it, depending on line length. All I know is I got the reciept I bought one, so I expect the tag in the mail or a refund check for the license and any bait I will purchase next week.

I was only one in store at north metro bait shop at noon. Got mine for area 51. Tag in hand. Pumped, didn't figure to have chance at hunting this year. Was drawn previous 2 years.

Boy they mustve gone quick! I was at the store at 12:05 and the guy pulled up the bear info and only 4 areas had permits left. Unfortuanatly area 44 wasnt one of them.

Only those who applied already, if any are left after 10th (I think) then anybody can buy one. Doesn't sound like any left though? It lists all this on dnr site under, hunting, bear.

I'm pretty pumped. I got my first ever bear tag today at 12:01 at walmart for area 51. Can't wait to get the ball rolling.

I am very proud of my hunters today. Five made attempts and all but one got tags. One group of two started at 12:13, one got a tag at and the second made a run for it at 12:15 and no deal as they where done and gone.

There were 3 of us at the hardware store and all got a tag for zone 25. I hope next year goes a little smoother.
